A foreign driving licence is only valid for six months from the time at which you register at your new address in Germany. After this time, the licence is no longer valid and you are no longer permitted to drive (exception: EU driving licence).
Ask at the Bürgercentrum whether you need to convert your driving licence before the six-month deadline is up.
If you need to have your driving licence converted, please fill in the application form. You may have to pass a theory test and practical driving test with a driving school.
